The Auckland City Mission believes that the Living Wage is part of what is needed to lift more people and families out of poverty. The Auckland City Mission understands that for some employers, it will take sustained effort and commitment over time to implement the Living Wage and become accredited – this was the experience of the Auckland City Mission. However the concept of the Living Wage aligns with the values of Auckland City Mission and they have had improved staff retention since becoming an Accredited Living Wage Employer.
